COMRADES MARATHON 2023<br /> <br />  After a successful 2022 race, following two cancelled years due to the Covid-<br /> 19 pandemic, Comrades Marathon organisers have confirmed that the 2023 event will return to a more traditional June date.<br />  Sunday, 11 June has been confirmed as the date for what will be the 96th<br /> edition of the 89km ultra-marathon.<br />  Despite this year’s race being a ‘down’ run finishing in Durban, the 2023 race<br /> will follow the same route according to the race organisers.<br />  Maiden Comrades Marathon winner Tete Dijana battled to hide his joy after<br /> winning the 95th edition of the ultra-marathon from only his second start in<br /> the race.<br />  Dijana, who hails from the North-West province, crossed the finishing line in a<br /> time of 05:30:38, just over three minutes ahead of the second-placed Edward<br /> Mothibi, who was the defending champion.
