Tailgate Guys BBQ Show, Episode 83: Happy Grillmore, Richard Fergola

<p>We bring you the best/most-heartbreaking story of the competition BBQ Weekend - maybe the BBQ Year - on Episode 83 of the Tailgate Guys BBQ Show Podcast.</p> <p>Joe Hewer of <a href= "https://www.facebook.com/happygrillmorebbq/">Happy Grillmore BBQ</a> team captured first place in Ribs, Pork and Brisket at the Smoke on the Trails in Gardner, Kansas. But a 28th-place finish among 48 teams in Chicken left Happy Grillmore in a tie for the Grand Championship with Joe Pearce of <a href= "https://www.facebook.com/SlapsBBQ/?ref=br_rs">Slaps BBQ</a> as both wound up with a score of 704.5372. Joe Pearce won the tie-breaker, denying Joe Hewer a first GC. We visit with Hewer about the mixed emotions and the history of the Happy Grillmore team.</p> <p>We also catch up with <a href= "https://www.facebook.com/richard.fergola">Richard Fergola</a>, GM at the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/kcgrillingco/">KC Grilling Company</a> in Olathe, Kansas.
