T.J. Troup interview-80th anniversary of the 1940 NFL Championship Game

<p>Tonight’s guest is Pro Football Historian and author Terrence “T.J.” Troup. T.J. is one of the foremost historians of professional football. He has written numerous articles for <em>American Football Coaches Monthly</em> and was the football coordinator/consultant for the 2008 George Clooney film <em>Leatherheads</em>. He wrote his first book in 2009 titled <em>This Day in Football</em> and in 2014 he wrote the <em>The Birth of Football’s Modern 4-3 Defense</em> a splendidly detailed tactical analysis of how NFL teams played defense during the 1950s and a must read for all serious pro football researchers.</p> <p>Tonight T.J. and I will be commemorating the 80th anniversary of the 1940 NFL Championship game where the Chicago Bears beat the Washington Redskins 73-0, the greatest blow-out in NFL post-season history.</p> <p>The Bears victory altered NFL tactics forever.</p> <p>T.J.
