Study examines over reliance of medications in nursing homes

Sept. 29, 2023 - In response to the over reliance of prescription drugs in nursing homes, the United Hospital Fund partnered with six facilities to begin cutting back on unnecessary medications. We learn how this deprescribing effort went and how it could be expanded with Joan Guzik, director of quality and efficiency for the UHF's Quality Institute.
