This includes the seventh and final "I Am" statement of the gospel of John. Jesus uses this metaphor to explain how our spiritual life, as born-again believers, is drawn from His life. God's intent for our lives is to progress from barrenness to fruitfulness, to spiritual abundance. Jesus also repeats His command for believers to love each other. In this context, He goes so far as to refer to those who follow His teachings as His "friends." Beloved, as we approach the end times, we are living in the last hour of the last days and we must be ready to meet our risen King in His glory and power. He told us to let no one deceive us. We must be aware of wolves in sheep's clothing. We must be aware of false brethren. We must be aware that many will and have apostazied from the Living Christ. They have abandoned the faith and went back to Egypt and the vomit of their past wicked lives, lives that were apart from Holy Spirit. We must be aware that we have an enemy who prowls around as a roaring lion seeking to whom he may devour. We must never forget that we live in an evil wicked generation where evil is celebrated and holiness and the gospel is shunned, mocked, criticized and rejected! We live in a time where being a follower of Jesus Christ is met with persecution, opposition, and confrontation. Our flesh still wants to indulge in sinful lust and evil behaviors that go against the Word of God.In spite of all this, let those who have called on the Name of the Lord to be saved, never forget: 👉 1 Corinthians 10:21 - "You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons.
