South Sudan in Focus: Authorities in South Sudan’s Unity State say they are investigating the killings of more than fifteen civilians in separate attacks while traveling between Kotong and Tuocloka areas of Mayom County on Tuesday; Rebels of the South Sudan People’s Army claim they killed at least 40 SSPDF soldiers during an ambush on a military convoy in Mayom County of Unity State on Tuesday; Sudanese church leaders are condemning the recent inter-communal violence in Blue Nile State and calling on the country’s leaders to work towards peace and unity of all Sudanese regardless of their ethnicity.
