SOLOMON, Chapter 13 of Polygamy in the Bible

SOLOMON, Chapter 13 of Polygamy in the Bible Pages 128 to 142 . . . his name shall be Solomon, and will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days. He shall build an home for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever. (I Chron. 22:9-10) When David died, he left an inheritance consisting of the most powerful kingdom in existence at that time. This was to be a patriarchal succession that seldom occurred in Israel the way that it should have. David’s son, Solomon, inherited the throne of that kingdom.
