Harith ibn Qais (rah) a student of Ibn Masood (ra), states, some people ask questions only to forget afterwards- that is, no intention to practice (Tabarani). People are in need of anyone who is engrossed in Allah SWT and People are in need of that persons knowledge who practises his knowledge (Kanzal Ummal). '...True knowledge is having reverence for Allah SWT' (Ibn Hibban).  Destruction to the person who does not aquire knowledge- still if Allah (SWT) Wiils He (SWT) will educate him. However 7 times destruction to the person who has the knowledge but does not practice (Hayatas Sahabah).
