<p>"The name is Bond. &nbsp;James Bond."</p> <p>The name is instantly recognizable. &nbsp;Who wouldn't want to live the life of James Bond? &nbsp;License to kill, traveling to exotic locations, seemingly unlimited expense account...........the life of a spy is dangerous and exciting (at least if you are James Bond). &nbsp;But there is a subset of the sweetheart scam that uses the wish for an exciting life that takes advantage of people who are going through a very difficult time in their life. &nbsp;</p> <p>Sweetheart scams are nothing new. &nbsp;Using the internet or social media to get a person romantically attracted to the scammer has been around since the birth of the internet. &nbsp;But the James Bond scam attaches the idea of excitement and adventure to add an additional "hook" to entice a victim. &nbsp;</p> <p>Music: The James Bond Theme (various artists)</p> --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/gene-tausk/message
