I am so proud to be an American and am so incredibly grateful for the sacrifice all of our soldiers give for our safety and freedom. My grandfather served our country and was deployed when his daughter was born. He didn’t get to meet her until she was almost a year old. This was such an eye opening realization when I became a mom and had such a bond with my babies. I couldn’t imagine going a year without seeing them. This had a great impact on me to think about the many sacrifices our soldiers and their families make every day. As an NFL cheerleader I had the profound opportunity to go on a military entertainment tour and see where our soldiers sleep and spend their time. This was such a special opportunity to experience the Super Bowl and perform for these soldiers. As amazing as this trip was, it could not compare to what I experienced when visiting troops in Washington state. I was able to meet with soldiers that had just come back from the front lines a
