Safe-Haven in the Housing Projects // May 12, 2022

Pastor Lemar and Donna Walker of Christ’ Community Church. The Walker’s began serving in the Lamar Housing Projects in 1999. Their church ministry has grown and now includes the development of Safe Haven Outreach Ministries and Counseling services. Lemar grew up in a Memphis housing project and remembers the anger and radical behavior that seemed to control his life, leading him down a promiscuous road filled with drugs, alcohol, and a hatred of America. All of that changed for Lemar without knowing much, if anything about the Bible, but he turned to Jesus Christ in a moment of desperation and has never looked back.
