<p>Damon is back and ready to dive right back into his perfect life - but there’s a number of issues in his way: he left his new BFF Bonnie behind, everyone let Alaric compel Elena’s memories away, and she won’t even see him! Plus, he learns firsthand about the new hunter. Enzo, realizing Tripp is getting less patient with him, threatens to expose the group which prompts a rescue mission. Elena tries to subtly learn what’s up with Jo, but Jo is a girlboss who’s about five steps ahead. Jo and Alaric have a bonding experience, Matt and Sarah snoop through Tripp’s office, and Jeremy has yet another emotional breakdown.
