S3 EP81: Laura and Giau - Hospital birth + Homebirth - GDM diagnosis

Today’s show features the perspective from both mum and dad, with Laura and partner Giau, sharing the births of their two daughters. Having witnessed her friend give birth “like a boss”, Laura was excited to experience physiological birth. A hypnobirthing course helped her to feel armed with knowledge, but once labouring in the hospital and faced with the pressure to make decisions clouded in urgency, Laura and Giau realised how quickly ones confidence could be stripped away. When they conceived their second child, a visit to their prospective private midwife sealed their path to homebirth. This is a journey filled with love, connection and deep reverence.
