The Detroit Red Wings also traded Nick Leddy to the St. Louis Blues for a 2023 2nd Round Pick, Oskar Sundqvist and Jake Walman. This one we’re calling a Yzerplan fleece. Leddy leaves the Red Wings after being traded to the Red Wings for a 2nd Round Pick from the New York Islanders. Steve Yzerman gets that 2nd round picks back and picks up a left-side defenseman in Jake Walman and a solid bottom-six forward from Oskar Sundqvist. In the final trade of the day, Steve Yzerman and the Red Wings sent Vladislav Namestnikov to Dallas for a 4th round pick. What does it mean for the Red Wings that Tyler Bertuzzi and Filip Zadina were not moved at the deadline? Is there not enough of a market or is Yzerman happy with the development of his core?
