Prof Manuela Ferreira -- zooming out to understand back pain

<p>Great to have <a href="https://www.sydney.edu.au/medicine-health/about/our-people/academic-staff/manuela-ferreira.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer">Prof Manuela Ferreira </a>on the show to talk about her pioneering work on back pain.</p> <p>Manuela is the lead author of a recent study analysing the global burden of low back pain: &#39;Global, regional, and national burden of low back pain, 1990–2020, its attributable risk factors, and projections to 2050: a systematic analysis of the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021&#39; (see link below). </p> <p>The findings are a stark reminder of the need to deepen our understanding of pain and how to help people.
