Power of The Promises Pt 4

<p>Hello and a beautiful Saturday to you in the name of Jesus. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;Hebrews 13:5 NLT&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;“Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.””&nbsp;</p> <p>This is God’s promise to you.&nbsp;</p> <p>We’ve been going through the lockdown, in some places, it’s being eased off. People are beginning to mix, with/without social distancing. But in the midst of all this, sometimes this kind of season can take a toll on us in different ways. Some do not have enough people to socialize with, they do not have enough physical connections, they don’t call people that much. But in the midst of this, God says “my son, my daughter, I want you to be sure of this - I am always with you. I will never leave you, I will not fail you, I will not abandon you, you will never be alone.” It’s important we remember that because sometimes we go through life feeling nobody has called us or spoken to us today.&nbsp;</p> <p>Years ago I was with somebody and the person said to me “nobody has called me today. What’s going on?” Then this person did something funny. He buzzed someone and cut it off (we call it ‘flashing’ in Nigeria!) and a few minutes later, the person he buzzed called him back and they talked. It seemed interesting to me because if he didn’t buzz the other person, it most likely the person wouldn’t have called back.&nbsp;</p> <p>The lesson is this: like we read yesterday in Proverbs 18:24 “he that must have friends must show himself friendly”. Yes it is true that God will be with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you and He wants you to know that about Him. You also have a responsibility. You must be there for people. Don’t leave others, don’t forsake them. Be there for them.&nbsp;</p> <p>Someone once asked “how do I know I love God?” God said “the way you show your love for Me is by showing love to my people”. Understand this - God loves you, He is always with you. He will never never fail you. He will never abandon you. &nb
