POP & FIZZLE!! | EMPYRE RECAP - Pt.1 | Marvel Comics Monday

<p>I totally missed Marvel Comic Universe's EPIC multi-verse adventure WAR OF THE REALMS last summer, so I was determined NOT to miss out what was supposed to be this summer's Galaxy-spanning quest &nbsp;- EMPYRE - but, eh, IMHO, this newest crossover has mostly fallen flat.. ⭐ WHY am I so disappointed with this series? ⭐ Mainly for two reasons.. &nbsp;⭐ MOST of the &nbsp;main action takes place above or near EARTH and has rarely moved further than that.. &nbsp;⭐ Marvel Comics has cut a nice chunk of support issues that would have introduced new side arcs, storylines, and characters.. so ALOT of action that was promised and referenced in the main titles is just not going to happen in this run - UNLESS, if rumors are true, they will eventually release all of the nipped side titles at some later date (all at once) to try to fill in the many blanks running through this storyline.. ⭐ Many of the main and support titles that were kept seem as if they were done so more for NAME-DROP reasons rather than titles that may have offered much more creative and diverse content .. For example, &nbsp;Empyre: Captain America, Issue 1 (spoiler) is about a very small, seemingly insignificant battle near the pentagon.. it's more of a filler that eludes to the fact that the COTATI are trying to infiltrate the government via the BODY-SNATCHER method (mmkk... that's been done in so many other mediums that it was truly underwhelming to see presented here again..) ⭐ THE BATTLE OF WAKANDA (via the canceled INVASION OF WAKANDA) is not going to be presented in the grand fashion is should be given.. such a shame, because almost EVERY issue that has been released thus far keeps hinting that some MAJOR ACTION was supposed to take place at the battlefront ..
