Police arrest suspected criminal in Delta

<p>Police operatives attached to Dragon Patrol, during visibility and confidence-building patrol, recovered 250 rounds of live cartridges concealed in a bag along the Benin/Asaba Expressway at Iseele-Uku Community in Delta State.</p>, <p>The police also arrested a 46-year-old male suspect, Omoruyi Osemudiame, owner of the bag containing the live cartridges.</p>, <p>The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Wale Abass, confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.</p>, <p>“On 3/8/2023 at about 1600hours, the police intercepted a commercial Sienna vehicle and subjected the passengers and their bags to a search.</p>, <p>“During the search, two hundred and fifty (250) rounds of live cartridges concealed in a bag were recovered.</p>, <p>“The owner of the bag Identified as Omoruyi Osemudiamen ‘m’ age 46yrs was arrested and taken into custody,” the statement read.</p>, <p>He added that investigation is ongoing.</p>
