(2:00) Gina Grad's dad passed away from the same form of leukemia, and he had always lived a healthy lifestyle. Anna asks Vinnie to share more details about his journey. Vinnie has been cancer free for 16 years; his leukemia is a form that usually returns within 5 years. Vinnie and Anna bring on family members George Kolasa and Justin Tarquinio. (26:30) George and Justin are partners and are here to share their story. George was diagnosed about a year ago with glioblastoma, a rare type of brain tumor. Doctors discovered a tumor the size of a grapefruit; however, George had few signs or symptoms. More tumors have developed, but these are inoperable. Justin shares some of his thoughts of guilt; he believed he should have noticed certain signs earlier. He emphasizes that he doesn't want to make people paranoid, but if you notice something very "off", go get scanned! Anna asks George about his approach to his diagnosis, and how he decided to handle it. George shares his inspirational approach and thoughts concerning his diagnosis.
