Osun Amotekun arrest teenager for robbery, theft

<p>Operatives of the Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun in Osun State, have arrested 17-year-old Olaniran Oladosu for attempted robbery and theft.</p>, <p>According to information made available by the Amotekun Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi in Osogbo on Saturday, the teenager, who is an indigene of Eko-ende town was arrested at about 5:54am on Friday.</p>, <p>His arrest Adewinmbi revealed followed an allegation of an attempt to hijack a motorcycle and also steal a bag in Osogbo.</p>, <p>According to Adewinmbi, “The attention of the Amotekun operatives on a routine patrol after which they arrested the suspect at the spot where the alleged act was perpetrated.</p>, <p>“The exhibit found in his possession was a set of spanners, propeller, and chisel.</p>, <p>“Upon investigation, the suspect confessed to perpetrating the act.”</p>, <p>Adewinmbi also disclosed that the suspect has been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.</p>
