<p>The Ogun State Police Command arrested no fewer than 124 suspects for various offences in the last three months.</p>, <p>The State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.</p>, <p>According to Alamutu, since July, the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, “have successfully apprehended a total of One hundred and twenty four suspects for various offences”.</p>, <p>Alamutu disclosed that the police have also discovered the hideouts of criminals, through credible intelligence, adding that arms were recovered from the hoodlums during raids carried out by operatives.</p>, <p>“We equally recovered reasonable numbers of exhibits,” Alamutu told newsmen while parading some suspects.</p>, <p>The police boss explained that there have been “remarkable decline in sundry cases of crimes” in the past three months.</p>, <p>He stressed that Ogun State has experienced a noticeable decrease in incidents of kidnapping, armed robbery, land grabbing, sexual offences, “except for the recent cult related crisis/murder that engulfed Sagamu and we are closing up on the perpetrators”.</p>, <p>He reassured Ogun people that the Command under his watch will continue to make the state uninhabitable for all criminal elements, especially cultists and land grabbers.</p>
