O'Donnell Calls For Change In GAA Player Insurance Structures

On Tuesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Clare Hurler Shane O’Donnell to discuss a significant financial loss, as a result of inadequate cover while injured in 2021. Shane O’Donnell is asking the GPA to call on the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association to introduce improved injury coverage for GAA players. The call for improved injury coverage has received unanimous backing and aims to address the “inadequacy of the current insurance in safeguarding inter-county players from financial loss”.
