NPFL: Missed chances denied Tornadoes victory against Enyimba – Abara

<p>Niger Tornadoes head coach, Hamza Abara, was left disappointed after his side were held to a 0-0 draw by holders Enyimba on Wednesday.</p>, <p>The Ikon Allah Boys dropped their first home points, no thanks to missed scoring chances, especially in the first half of the encounter.</p>, <p>Enyimba goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke was also in inspiring form, as he made a number of vital saves in the game.</p>, <p>Abara said he expected more from the keenly contested game.</p>, <p>“It was a bad day for us; we planned for the game, but unfortunately our plans didn’t work. This is one of those things in football; nevertheless, we have a match by the weekend, and we will push to equally get something out of the game,” the tactician remarked in his post-match press conference.</p>, <p>The Minna club also struggled to get going in the game, especially in the opening minutes.</p>, <p>Abara said the young players in the team are yet to adapt to the new style of play.</p>, <p>“We have so many young players in the team who are trying to adapt to our style of play and another factor that affected us was fatigue.</p>, <p>“We took off from Lagos around 4am on Monday and arrived in Kaduna 10:30pm, the stress took a toll on the players, but overall, I’ll give kudos to them for a job well done; at least we didn’t concede a goal, neither did we lose,” Abara added.”</p>
