Novelcast 70: Francesca Lombardo (Recorded at Pitch Music & Arts 2017)

Through an emotional narrative of dreamy soundscapes, stirring melodies and hypnotic rhythms, Francesca Lombardo has cultivated a sound she can call her own. Criss-crossing the globe as a DJ and live performer, she's played shows from Burning Man to Circoloco to even The Royal Albert Hall. In tandem, she has built a formidable back-catalogue of music on labels from Crosstown Rebels to her own Echoe and Echolette imprints amongst others. If you went to the Pitch Music & Arts 2017 chances are your weekend got a significant boost with her mainstage set. Around noon on Saturday, the Italian DJ delivered a mixing masterclass which raised the bar for the acts that followed. It was an infectious set which read the moment perfectly.
