Description

Have you seen the new medications for weight loss? Are you curious about it?

Many people do see a lot of weight loss on them but did you know that once you come off of them, you will likely gain 2/3rd of the weight back you just lost? Similar to how when you stop dieting, you gain it back.

Why does this happen?

Weight gain happens because healthy habits were not established, the relationship with food did not improve, and nutritional needs were not met.

On today's episode of the Nutrition's My Life Podcast, I'm reviewing a bit about what these medications do inside the body, the crazy recommendations for using these medications in children, and will follow up with a part two episode next week.

I'm not anti-medication by any means. There is a time and place for these weight loss meds however it's the over prescribing and first go to for many providers, after their advice of "eat less, move more" doesn't work.

Learn more about nutrition and to work with Nicole, visit www.nutritionsmylife.com
