<p>Investors pumped a record $1.47 billion of new money into digital asset investment products last week, fueled by a rally in cryptocurrencies and the launch of the first bitcoin futures exchange-traded fund trading under ticker symbol $BITO. The increase in flows came as bitcoin (BTC), the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, surged to an all-time high of $66,974 last week. The previous weekly record came in February, when inflows totaled $640 million. The past week’s inflows into crypto funds pushed the year-to-date total to $8 billion. Bitcoin-focused funds dominated last week’s inflows, with a 99% share of all inflows into cryptocurrency funds. During the prior week, inflows into bitcoin-focused funds were at $70 million. Nigeria’s central bank digital currency (CBDC), the eNaira, is live following an announcement by President Muhammadu Buhari. The official unveiling of the eNaira – designed to complement Nigeria’s physical currency, not replace it – took place Monday; it had been announced last week. The eNaira was developed by fintech company Bitt, whose digital currency management system (DCMS) is also behind the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank’s CBDC. Two applications for using the CBDC – eNaira speed wallet and eNaira merchant wallet – are available for download from the Google and Apple app stores. Crypto lender BlockFi has partnered with private investment manager Neuberger Berman to develop new crypto asset management products. The new products will be housed in a separate entity called BlockFi nb, according to an <a href="https://finance.yahoo.com/news/blockfi-neuberger-berman-partner-expand-123000532.html" target="_blank">a</a>nnouncement Monday.
