NGX names Obehi Ikhaghe company secretary

<p>The Nigerian Exchange Group Plc has confirmed the appointment of Ms Obehi Ikhaghe as its company secretary.</p>, <p>According to a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer of NGX, Oscar Onyema, Ikhaghe’s appointment took effect on April 13.</p>, <p>The exchange group said the decision to appoint Ikhaghe as the company secretary was approved during its board meeting on July 14.</p>, <p>It said her appointment marked the conclusion of her role as the acting company secretary, a position she assumed in January after the departure of her predecessor, Mrs Mojisola Adeola.</p>, <p>“Ikhaghe is a seasoned lawyer with over 14 years of professional experience, spanning company secretarial, corporate governance, corporate law, compliance, and general legal practice.</p>, <p>“Before joining Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, she worked at Lafarge Africa Plc as a Legal Counsel and Company Secretary for the Ready Mix and Aggregates Division,” the statement read.</p>, <p>She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Lagos and a Master of Laws from the same institution.</p>
