Nets are back! Big 3 sit but Cam Thomas and Nets’ rookies shine

The Brooklyn Nets were back in action with their first preseason game of the season, facing off against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Both teams mostly sat the key players with Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and many others in street clothes for this one. But we did get a healthy dose of the Nets rookies and they looked good across the board. The real story was Cam Thomas carrying over his Summer League performance to an NBA court. He finished with a game-high 21 points on 7-14 from the field and 6-7 from the line. He is already looking like one of the steals of the draft if he’s able to keep this up. The guys look at Thomas but also rookies like David Duke and Kessler Edwards too.
