Description

Today a weak upper-level trough and cool front moves through the area turning winds to the northwest but cold air advection will be limited and temps still warm into the mid-50’s. Wednesday and Thursday high-pressure, and ridging amplifies west and extends into the Plains leading to well above normal temps reaching into the upper 50’s and low 60’s, lows 25-30-degree range, drought dryness and potentially elevated fire conditions. Friday another upper-level trough and dry cool front drop highs back into the mid-40’s and lows upper teens and we can expect gusty north winds reaching 40+ mph. Saturday northwest upper-level flow will keep temps in check in the 40-45-degree range and lows in the teens, while dryness continues.
