MidWest Hospital Campaign Not Giving Up Fight For ED In Ennis Despite HSE Opposal

The MidWest Hospital Campaign Group is refusing to give up the fight for a model three hospital in Ennis. CEO of the HSE Paul Reid has ruled out the possibility of reopening the Emergency Department at Ennis Hospital or upgrading the facility. When visiting health services in the region this week, Paul Reid, conveyed the message that reopening Ennis ED without surgical capacity would be unsafe and that money should instead go towards community services. Member of the MidWest Hospital Campaign, Noeleen Moran, has branded Paul Reid's stance on the matter as based upon an 'unreality'.
