In this episode of #mhTV​​​​, Nicky Lambert and Dave Munday are speaking with guests Cherie Carlton & Edward Carter to talk about mental health and social work. Cherie is a Senior lecturer (in practice) Social Work at Middlesex University. She has twenty years’ experience of social work practice having worked in the UK and Australia. Her practice background spans across adult mental health, addictions, and child and family social work. She is a member of an independent fostering panel and continues to undertake independent social work assessments. Cherie’s main teaching interests include mental health and addictions, trauma-informed practices, child and family social work, social work theory, skills, readiness for practice and research methods. Edd is a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University and is the Director or Programmes for Think Ahead and Social Work Continued Professional Development. He practiced for many years as a social worker in adult learning disability and mental health services and is a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional.
