James was in charge of soldiers that were getting kicked out of the military and one soldier always stuck out to him more than the others. This soldier lived in a house with other people that would call him "father" and he called them "his children." On an extended weekend, this soldier asked James to take him out to a party in Joshua Tree that had RVs and tents all over which is what was described in episode 512.
