May 31, 2020, Pentecost Sunday homily: Fr. Ed Fride

<p>Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, May 31, 2020, the Solemnity of Pentecost, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. </p> <p>As with any celebration in the Church, Pentecost is not meant to be just a remembrance of something that happened 2,000 years ago, but something for <em>all</em> of our lives <em>now</em>. The <em>Catechism</em> tells us that the Sacrament of Confirmation is meant to be Pentecost in the life of the believer. (See <a href= "http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/p2s2c1a2.htm" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Catechism </em>paragraph 1302</a>.) We just need to ask for more of the Presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Fr.
