Marking World Humanitarian Day This Saturday

On Wednesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by John Conroy. John is an experienced and qualified fitness coach who has worked with various community, voluntary, state organisations and private companies in Ireland. This coming Saturday, the 19th of August, is World Humanitarian Day World Humanitarian Day is an international day dedicated to recognise humanitarian personnel and those who have died working for humanitarian causes. John discussed his volunteering trip to Uganda and gave a huge thanks to those who donated. He also highlighted the work and services himself and his voluntary group of 6 people provided to areas in Uganda. John also spoke about the importance of volunteerism and humanitarianism, especially in the areas that he has worked in.
