Maikaba advocates extra protection from referees for Ali

<p>Kano Pillars head coach, Abdulahi Maikaba says club legend Rabiu Ali should get extra protection from referees during matches.</p>, <p>Maikaba believes that the gesture will serve as an honour for his selfless service to the Nigeria Premier Football League.</p>, <p>The experienced tactician also highlighted the importance of the veteran midfielder in the team.</p>, <p>The 43-year-old midfielder has featured in all the Sai Masu Gida’s seven NPFL fixtures this season.</p>, <p>“Rabi’u Ali has played all the full minutes of the seven games in the league this season,” Maikaba told DAILY POST in Lagos.</p>, <p>“He has shown class, disciplined and organised the team very well.</p>, <p>“He needs protection from the referees because he is a legend and a player who has stayed long in the league.”</p>
