Luka Doncic breaks Brooklyn hearts in loss. Cam Thomas, Ben Simmons and Nets come so close

The Nets took on the Mavericks in Dallas and this one was a near-classic. Luka Doncic hit backbreaking three after backbreaking three late and Brooklyn lost 125-120. Cam Thomas was spectacular once again, scoring 30 after getting the start with Nic Claxton and Cameron Johnson out with injury. Plus, we saw a resurgent Ben Simmons look like the player of old with spacing around him. In the end, though, it wasn’t enough and the Nets drop to 0-2 on the season.
