Live Not by Lies: The Rise of Soft Totalitarianism: An interview with Rod Dreher

This kind of system is what every American high school student read about in Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four. </p> <p>Rod writes about “woke capitalism,” which is what you have when major corporations sign on to culturally progressive causes. In a capitalist society like ours, corporations have been much more important than the state in mainstreaming progressive values.</p> <p>Live Not by Lies was released early in the COVID-19 pandemic and before the election crackdown on speech.
