Kidnapped RSBC Director of News regains freedom

<p>Port Harcourt-based journalist, Mrs Priestba Anthony-Wokocha, who was kidnapped last week by unknown gunmen has regained her freedom.</p>, <p>A source from the family, who revealed the development to Today FM, a radio station in Port Harcourt, said Mrs Anthony-Wokocha who is the Director of News, Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation was released last night by her abductors.</p>, <p>The family member, however, said it is unclear whether any ransom was paid before her release.</p>, <p>In the meantime, the Rivers State Police Command is yet to confirm the development to journalists.</p>, <p>DAILY POST reports that the kidnappers had initially contacted the family of Mrs Anthony-Wokocha, to pay the sum of N150m for her release and later reduced the amount to N10m.</p>, <p>Anthony-Wokocha was kidnapped at gunpoint on her way from work last week at about 8pm, after her vehicle developed a fault.</p>
