Kastle S - Journey In Recovery - Step 3 - Meeting 134

<p>Today we will be hearing the experience, strength, and hope of Kastle S. in the Journey in Recovery series of Reco12. I really love the vulnerability that Kastle shares in his story and his experience with trusting in God through the 3rd step of recovery. Step 3 is the step that every single person I have interviewed so far has come back to as a hinge pin in their recovery, so Kastle is my second conversation about Step 3. Now, as a reminder, Step 3 reads, “Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood him”. Step 3 truly is THE decision step.<br/><br/>Back in 2019 I was hosting another podcast called <a href='https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/journey-through-life-podcast/id1262931412'>Journey Through Life</a>, it was a long-form conversation/interview style podcast.  It was not recovery related, although I was actively working my recovery.  Duriing this time, I felt compelled by my Higher Power to do a series on the Journey Through Life podcast called Journey in Recovery.  In this series, I interviewed 16 people over a 3 month period on each of the 12 Steps of Recovery.  It was during this 3 month period that my own recovery walk was radically changed and my vision of what the Steps can do for anyone, anywhere, from any background was drastically opened up.  </p><p>During the month of December, I am re-playing those episodes of the Journey in Recovery series with minor edits and re-branding so that the listening audience can get more background on several of our Reco12 guests who had more time to share their stories here, as well as to get introduced to others who have not been Reco12 guests.  And also to learn more about how the problem is so similar, no matter the addiction, and how the solution is the same, no matter the addiction.  <br/><br/>Reco12 is an organization with the mission of learning and sharing the similarities of addiction of all kinds and the similarities of recovery from all afflictions and addictions, and gaining and sharing tools and hope from
