Jungle justice: Mob kills man for allegedly stealing motorcycle in Nasarawa

<p>An irate mob on Friday lynched an unidentified man to death over an allegation of motorcycle theft in the A.A Koto area of Akwanga, in Nasarawa State.</p>, <p>Bawa Kyuni, a resident who confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, revealed that the victim was accused of stealing a Bajaj motorcycle.</p>, <p>However, instead of turning the alleged thief over to the police, the angry mob took matters into their own hands, beating him till he died.</p>, <p>“He was beaten until he died,” Kyuni said.</p>, <p>Another resident who witnessed the incident said Police operatives around the area could not stop the mob from Lynching the alleged thief.</p>, <p>At of the time of filing this report, efforts to reach the Nasarawa State Police Command for an official reaction have not been successful.</p>, <p>However, sources disclosed that soldiers of the Nigerian Army were deployed to the scene of the incident to restore normalcy and oversee the evacuation of the deceased’s body.</p>
