June 3 (Year2) - The Soaking Wet Skydome Opening Ceremony

We Need a world class stadium, they said! It needs to have a roof to protect us from the weather, they said! It needs to stay open for the sun then close for the rain they said! In 1989 it was complete. We need a splashy opening ceremony broadcast all over Canada so all can see our wonder of engineering they said! Yeah…..that looked good on paper, this day in weather history.
