June 21, 2020, Dedication Anniversary homily: Fr. Ed Fride

<p>Homily given at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, June 21, 2020, the Solemnity of the Anniversary of the Dedication of Christ the King's Church, by Fr. Ed Fride, Pastor, Christ the King Catholic Church. (The actual dedication occurred on June 24, 2001, but since it is the Solemnity of the Birth of St. John the Baptist, we receive permission each year to celebrate the dedication on the closest Sunday in Ordinary Time.) This year, this Sunday is also Father's Day.</p> <p>Fr. Ed reminds us that the dedication anniversary is not about the building, as important as a church dedicated to the worship of God is.
