Japan regulators approve Fukushima water release into sea

Japan's nuclear regulators have approved a plan to release water from the wrecked Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The foreign ministry says that regulators deemed it safe to release the water into the Pacific, even though it will still contain traces of tritium after treatment.
