Jackie Thompson (Ballyhalbert Followers of Rangers FB)

<p>This weeks guest is a founding member of another band that got their start in the 1970's, Ballyhalbert Followers of Rangers FB from the most easterly point of Northern Ireland, have had an influence of flute bands that many might not know. Their recording from way back was a massive influence on both the Blackskull and the Pride of the Myle flute bands from Glasgow.</p><p>Jackie shares how he got his start in a local accordion band and then went on to form the BFOR. The band has had a massive impact on the North Down Flute band scene with no fewer than 5 bands starting from within their ranks.</p><p>Jackie shares some of the history of the band, and some stand out moments from his time with the band.
