Is there a short cut to Self-Actualization?

<p>Self Actualization, the ultimate zen condition after you have been there, done that and now, after seeing it all are at a stage where you seek to be in touch with your higher purpose. Self Actualization, according to Maslow is simply "the full realization of one's potential" and of one's "true self."</p> <p>Now, my question is whether you need to go through the pyramid of lower-level needs to get to self-actualization or is there a short cut?
