Is Taiwan the Next Big Short?

<p>Risks are growing alongside the geopolitical tensions surrounding Taiwan. China views it as inevitable that full reunification will happen, and is willing to go to war to make it so. However, Taiwanese independence is at least partly crucial to US national security. How this plays out is anybody's guess, but one thing looks certain: the market is not pricing in the proper amount of risk in Taiwan, given Taiwanese equities trading near all time highs.
