Investing Into Your Heavenly Account 7

<p>Sunday 24th January 2021&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>A beautiful Sunday. See you in the name of Jesus.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>We've been talking all this week about investing in our heavenly accounts. We've also spoken about the place of discipline because it takes discipline to invest.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>Galatians 4 :1, helps us understand that as long as the children, don't come to that place of maturity, they cannot enter into the reality of their inheritance. But with maturity comes the discipline to invest.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>We've spoken about the 12 disciplines from Richard Foster's book, Celebration of Discipline, but if you consider the disciplines closely, you will discover that they are all done to benefit people or in the company of other people. What I found out in my life and from studying the lives of others and also from the Word of God is that the greatest investment we can make while on Earth is our investments in people.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>Investments in people. Yes.&nbsp;</p> <p>It is good that we pray, fast and do all those things but if it does not improve people's lives, then it's a waste of time. The Bible says in 1 John 4:20, says, if we do not love human beings that we see, how can we claim we love God, that we don't see? So, if all our discipline is to focus on God and focus on our heavenly accounts, but not benefiting people, then it is useless.&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>So, Jesus said this in Matthew 25:37-40 (NLT)</p> <p><br></p> <p>“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’&nbsp;</p> <p><br></p> <p>Jesus was talking about the way people treated Him when He was in need.
