Investigating Notable Early Season Disappearing Acts for Wild Players

On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we discuss early season disappearing acts by Marcus Johansson, Matt Boldy and Filip Gustavsson. We start with Johansson, who has been very absent despite a consistent top six role. We look at some of the things he excelled at last year down the stretch that haven't translated so far this year. We also discuss Matt Boldy, who the team locked into a 7 year extension after a 30 goal season, but so far Boldy has looked like anything but that type of player. We discuss the need for balance, with his 12 goal March last year a great sign of a guy who can step up when needed, but the rest of the year requiring that type of play more consistently. We finish by discussing Filip Gustavsson, and whether or not his most recent performance in net was a step in the right direction, or the result of better defense in front.
