Interview with VET Tv Social Media Marketing Manager Sarah Sahutske

My name is Sarah Sahutske and I am a 9 year United States Marine Corps veteran, serving from 2003 to 2012. I was stationed mostly within Southern California at MCAS Miramar and then at MCAGCC 29 Palms. I have 3 overseas deployments; Iraq in 2006 and back-to-back deployments to Afghanistan in 2010 & 2011. I worked primarily as a computer/network administrator and later had the opportunity to assist my unit on deployment as an aerial reconnaissance intel analyst. After deciding to exit the military in November 2012, I went on to study business and graduated from San Diego State University with my Bachelors of Science degree. I currently work at VET Tv as the Social Media Marketing Manager and have been with the company for a year now. VET Tv is an online streaming television network that creates humor for veterans by veterans. Our content is both entertaining and therapeutic. We call it Parody with a Purpose. We publish weekly episodes that parody the military experience for those who have served to offer therapeutic entertainment for the veteran community, in order to promote camaraderie and prevent veteran suicide. I now spend my time heavily involved in supporting the veteran community within San Diego. I enjoy volunteering to help other veteran-owned businesses and organizations become more connected with one another. I am also an official ambassador for Pin-Ups for Vets, where we visit the VA hospitals to visit our brothers and sisters who have no family or friends to come to visit them. We also sell calendars featuring female veterans posing as pin-ups to raise money for much needed medical equipment and you can find me featured as Miss August in the 2020 edition.  Thanks a ton!
