<p style="text-align:center;">How to create an adversity plan the right way </p> <p>Its not a matter of if you will have problems and doubts it’s a matter of when. Most salespeople struggle because they don’t think adversity and sales slumps will happen to them. How you prepare for adversity matters in any situation. If you want a leg up on your competition then having an adversity plan can and will help you out.</p> <p>When you create a plan like this it proves you are all in. The problem for most salespeople is they have not made the choice to be “All in”. A planning session like this helps you know what to be ready for and have that mental buy in.</p> <p> Fair warning and process like this takes work and effort. Maybe 1 out of every 500 salespeople will actually take the time to put in this work.</p> <p>Step 1 - List every way you could fail </p> <ol><li>You could lose it all</li> <li>You could file bankruptcy</li> <li>You could lose a deal</li> <li>You could look dumb</li> </ol><p>Now ask yourself what happens if none of that every takes place?</p> <p>Most of the time our fears are not realistic – we tend to think in the worst…</p> <p>Now look for all of the ways people will talk trash and make a list of them.. I will give you my list:</p> <ol><li>You have no hair</li> <li>You sound dumb</li> <li>You look silly</li> <li>Nobody is ever going to listen to you</li> <li>You plan sucks</li> <li>You’re a liar</li> </ol><p>Will these things be said about you – maybe there will be things said about you though</p> <p>Step 2 - Now talk about what is in your way:</p> <ol><li>People – relationships good / bad / toxic</li> <li>Laws – don’t break laws</li> <li>Ethics – stay your course – stay on the right side</li> <li>Time – find people who will take less money or trade instead of yout time</li> <li>Lack of knowledge – Who knows what you need to know – what do they need?</li> <li>Lack of action – do you have an accountability partner</li> <li>Finances – the magic happens
